The wooden figureheads are first machined using CNC technology and then finished by hand. The most commonly used types of wood are pear, boxwood and holly. The figurines are treated with a colourless matt wax oil and a colourless matt varnish, so the colour is that of the wood. Some pieces may have a patina or special stain, which will be indicated in the item description. Each piece is therefore unique in its natural colour, grain and finish.
